Hey hey! We're Jen + Nick, a pair of chaotic cosplay photographers based in Melbourne, Australia. Our passion is taking photos as a team that bring the characters, worlds and stories that inspire us to life.
Our cosplay journey started over ten years ago on the other side of the lens but with every project we fell more in love with the process of capturing shots that make people feel like heroes (or villians, if that’s more your type!)
As Keyframes, we shoot with a mix of practical and digital effects to achieve our signature style of bright, bombastic and full of energy.
Our Values
At Keyframes, we don't use generative AI in our work.
The stories we love were created by humans. The characters and cosplays you bring when you collaborate with us were made by humans. The experiences we get to share making art with you at real locations, with physical sets and practical SFX, are the best part of our creative process and using AI would rob us of those moments.
We love challenging ourselves to help bring the impossible to life and it’s that problem solving that has made us grow as artists. When craft is real, tangible and collaborative is where the magic gets to happen.
For the intangible? We're very proud to say all our digital effects are done through organic human suffering and are hand-painted in Photoshop. (I’m joking, editing is fun!!)
